101 Aztecs Named Mountain West Scholar-Athletes

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State had 101 student-athletes named Mountain West Scholar-Athletes, the Mountain West office announced on Thursday.

Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors are awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least two academic terms at their institution and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

With 19 student-athlete honorees, swimming and diving earned the most awards of any Aztec squad. Track and Field was second with 14 and football added 13 honorees for the third most at SDSU. All 14 San Diego State sports that compete in the Mountain West were represented.
