2022-23 SEASON (As A Freshman):
Competed in 11 meets during her rookie campaign … Helped the Aztecs complete an unblemished 6-0 mark against LMU, Seattle and host Grand Canyon at the GCU Quad Meet, finishing fourth and fifth in the 100 (57.73) and 200 fly (2:08.66), respectively (10-21/22-22) … Also registered a season-fast 2:00.85 in the 200 freestyle at the same venue, which counted as an exhibition result … Enjoyed a series of impressive performances at the SMU Invitational, featuring a personal-best time of 2:04.00 in the 200 fly, helping the Scarlet and Black secure the team title (11-19-22) … Also logged a career-fast clocking of 58.80 in the 100 back at the same meet and set a season-best with a split of 53.10 leading off SDSU’s third 400 freestyle relay team …  Additionally recorded season-fast swims in the preliminaries of the 50 free (24.20) and 100 fly (55.72) at SMU … Emerged victorious in the 200 fly (2:04.29) in a dual-meet win over San Diego (12-19-22) … Placed fourth in the 200 fly (2:14.43) during inclement weather in a double-dual meet victory over Cal State East Bay and Incarnate Word (1-5-23) … Turned in a second-place effort in 200 fly (2:09.24) against Pepperdine the following week (1-13-23) … Placed third in the 200 fly (2:09.52) at San Diego in the regular-season finale, the Aztecs notched their 50th consecutive dual-meet victory (1-27-23) … Saw action in the preliminaries four events the Mountain West Championships, including the 50 free, 100 back, 100 fly and 200 fly (2-16/18-23) … Finished the year by racing in 10 events against USD in a long course meet at Aztec Aquaplex (4-20-23) … Earned Mountain West all-academic honors following the spring semester and received conference scholar-athlete recognition.    

PRIOR TO COLLEGE:
Swam for the Almaden Riptide club team before enrolling at San Diego State … Finished second in the 100 fly (56.24) and took fourth in the 200 fly (2:06.24) at the 2022 Far Western Championship in Morgan Hill, California, according to Swimcloud.com … Also placed eighth in the 100 fly (1:03.84) at the Speedo Sectionals in Roseville, California, later that year … Chose the Aztecs over the likes of USD, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, Air Force, Pacific and UNC Wilmington during the recruiting process.

PERSONAL: Parents are Matt and Staci Tenczar … Lists Dana Vollmer as her favorite athlete … Enjoys reading and crafting in her spare time … Majoring in political science with plans to attend law school.
