    Spring: Has played in three tournaments, all in the starting lineup … Is averaging 73.22 per round … Tied for 54th out of 84 golfers in his first time in the starting lineup this season, March 2-4, at the Southern Highlands Collegiate at 11-over 227 … Tied for 21st out of 94 to help the Aztecs win the Lamkin Classic, March 10-11, at 3-under 213, including a season-low 65 in the final round … Tied for 47th at the Pauma Valley Invitational (March 17-18) at 6-over 219 (76-74-69).
    Fall: Competed in two events in the fall as an individual, recording a 72.17 scoring average … Tied for 11th at the Papago Individual at 3-over 216 with rounds of 74, 74 and 68 … Came in a tie for 21st out of 71 golfers as an individual at The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate, Oct. 28-29, at 1-over 217 (73-73-71).

2023-24 (As A Sophomore)
Competed in two events, before shutting down with an injury thus saving his redshirt season … Averaged 73.33 in six rounds … Tied for 68th at 8-over 224 at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate (Sept. 25-26) at 8-over 222 … Then tied for 34th out of 42 at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup (Oct. 9-10) at even-par 216.

2022-23 (As A Freshman)
Played in the U.S. Amateur in the summer but missed the cut in stroke play at 8-over 149 ... Was one of three Aztecs to play in all 12 tournaments and 36 rounds in the starting lineup ... Recorded a 71.61 stroke average, which ranked third on the team ... Also ranked first on the team with nine even-par rounds, and was third in both rounds in the 60s (8) and rounds below par (14).
    Spring: Was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year ... Finished third on the team with a 71.93 stroke average in nine tournaments (27 rounds) ... Tied for the team lead with six even-par rounds and was third on rounds below par (10) ... Tied for 42nd at the Southwestern Invitational at 12-over 228 ... Tied for 58th of 126 in the John Burns Intercollegiate at 1-under 215 ... Tied for 59th at the Southern Highlands Collegiate at 7-over 223 ... Captured medalist honors at the Mountain West Championship at 19-under 197 after beating Colorado State's Christoph Bleier in a playoff ... Blitzed the Catalina Course with a 10-under 62, the lowest score in MW Championship history and tied for the lowest in SDSU recorded history ... Facing Bleier, who shot a final-round 63 of his own, in a playoff, Oyama parred the par-4, 470-yard 18th, while Bleier bogeyed it, giving Oyama his first collegiate victory ... Oyama and Bleier's 19-under 197 set a 54-hole championship record by three strokes and matched Alex Kang (2010 Alister MacKenzie Invitational) for the lowest 54-hole score in San Diego State recorded history ... Became the third Aztec to win the MW Championship, joining John Lepak in 2001 and Puwit Anupansuebsai in 2021.
    Fall: Played in all three tournaments in the fall in a starting role ... One of four Aztecs to play all three tournaments ... Ranked third on the team with a 70.67 stroke average ... Led the team in even-par rounds (3), and tied for first in rounds in the 60s (4) and tied for third in rounds below par (4) ... Opened his collegiate career at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate from Sept. 9-11, tying for 44th at 1-under 209 ... Had two under-par rounds to start his career (69-68) before shooting 2-over 72 in the final round ... Tied for 23rd at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate (Sept. 23-24) at 2-over 218 in SDSU's team victory ... Tied for eighth with teammate Shea Lague (among others) at the Wolf Pack Intercollegiate at 7-under 209 ... Went 72, 68 and 69 for the tourney.
