CLUB BALL
Played four and a half seasons of outfield for Riverside, California’s Corona Angels Howard… Serving as team captain, helped the Angels to a top three finish at Alliance Nationals and two semifinalist results in addition to a pair of semifinalist finishes in the Triple Crown Nationals… Was named to the Alliance Nationals All-Tournament Team once and the Triple Crown Nationals All-Tournament Team twice as well as the Alliance All-American Watch List.

HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered all four years at Valley View High in Moreno Valley, California… Helped the Eagles to a Stu Penter Championship as a freshman… As a sophomore, led Valley View to a top three finish in CIF and a Woodbridge Tournament title… Made it to CIF and state semifinals as a senior… Also lettered in flag football as a senior… Excelled in the classroom as well, earning the High Academic Award as a senior and graduating with honors.

Jayleen Yamirah Hernandez was born on December 21, 2005, in Burbank, California… Daughter of Yamira and Jose Hernandez… Sister, Jiselle, is an infielder for the Penn State softball team… Is majoring in journalism with plans of working in sports media after graduation… Lists her favorite athlete as former NBA player Kobe Bryant… Chose SDSU over Illinois, Utah, California, Penn and South Dakota.
