HONOLULU – Road woes continued for the San Diego State baseball program on Saturday, as host Hawai'i rolled to a 16-0 victory in game two of a non-conference weekend series at Les Murakami Stadium.

With the result, the Aztecs (6-15) suffered their fifth straight loss, falling to 1-8 on the road this season, while the Rainbow Warriors move to 14-7 overall after outhitting the visitors 20-6.

The Aztecs were once again victimized by a pair of big innings on Saturday, as UH broke open a 2-0 contest with seven runs in the fourth before plating five additional markers in the sixth.

Seven players totaled at least two hits for the Rainbow Warriors, including Austin Machado, who posted a game-high six RBIs after roping a bases-loaded double in the fourth followed by a three-run homer in the sixth.

On the flip side, Colby Turner led the Scarlet and Black with two hits, while Tino Bethancourt, Shaun Montoya, Jake Jackson and David Whittle finished with one each.

SDSU starter Omar Serrano (1-3) absorbed the loss after tying for his shortest stint of the season at 3 1/3 innings. The Aztec right-hander allowed nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits and three walks before yielding to Chris Canada with one out in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Serrano's counterpart Randy Abshier (1-1) collected his first victory of the year for UH after offsetting five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in six innings. Relievers Dylan Waite, Sebastian Gonzalez and Brayden Marx each tossed one inning, respectively, to preserve the shutout.
