2023 SEASON (As a Sophomore):
Started six of 16 games in his second tour of duty with the Scarlet and Black, posting a 1-5 record with a 5.43 ERA… Led the Mountain West with fewest hits (46) and runs allowed (34) while ranking second in opposing team batting average (.237)… Also finished third on the Aztecs with career highs in strikeouts (62) and innings pitched (53.0)… Yielded two walks or less in 13 appearances and struck out six or more batters on four occasions… Pitched the final 4 1/3 innings vs. Washington State at the Tony Gwynn Legacy, finishing with seven strikeouts (2-24-23)… Made his first start of the season against UConn, fanning four batters against three walks in three innings (3-19-23)… Earned his first collegiate save after combining with starter TJ Fondtain on a shutout in SDSU’s 11-0 blanking of Air Force at home (3-24-23)… Retired the Falcons in order over the final three innings, collecting four strikeouts… Set a career high with nine strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a start at Fresno State, where he surrendered three runs on three hits but did not factor in the decision (4-16-23)… Punched out six batters in 6 2/3 innings of relief vs. UNLV (4-30-23)… Notched his first career victory after helping the Aztecs clinch a share of the Mountain West regular-season championship with a clutch performance against New Mexico, recording eight strikeouts against one hit and two walks in 6 1/3 scoreless innings, as the Scarlet and Black rallied for an 8-6 triumph (5-20-23)… Earned a spot on Collegiate Baseball Newspaper’s National Players of the Week list for his efforts.

2022 SEASON (As a Freshman):Pitched in nine games during his rookie campaign on The Mesa, earning two starts … Posted an 0-3 record with an 8.40 ERA … Finished with 19 strikeouts against 18 walks in 15.0 innings of work … Made his collegiate debut vs. Hawai’i (2-28-22) … Allowed just one hit in three consecutive appearances without an earned run while posting a combined seven strikeouts against Iowa (3-15-22), UC San Diego (3-29-22) and Long Beach State (4-5-22) … Fanned four hitters in that latter contest vs. the Dirtbags and matched that season-best best total in both games of a home-and-away series against crosstown adversary San Diego (4-12/18-22) … Received his first career start in that first matchup vs. USD, pitching a season-long 4 1/3 innings … Also made a start in his final outing of the year against CSUN (5-4-22).

PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Graduated in 2021 from Downey High School, where he earned all-CIF Southern Section Division IV honors during his senior campaign … Recorded a 1.50 ERA in 12 appearances with 85 strikeouts in 70.0 innings, according to MaxPreps … Tossed three shutouts in five of his victories that season, including a perfect game vs. Westlake in the first round of the CIF playoffs (6-4-21) … Limited the opposition to a .159 batting average … Posted four wins and two saves as a sophomore in 2019, fanning 29 batters in 34.1 innings … Listed among the top 1000 prospects nationally for the class of 2021 by Perfect Game … Received preseason All-America honorable mention for the California Region by the same website prior to the 2021 campaign … Also competed at the club level for the prestigious Playa Vista Orioles program … Was named to all-tournament teams at the 2019 Perfect Game 17U World Series and the 2021 PG Mountain West Select Upperclass Championship in Tomball, Texas.
