SAN DIEGO – San Diego State University Athletics in conjunction with the University and Viejas Arena, have announced protocols to enter Viejas Arena for all 2021-22 men's and women's basketball games.

All guests aged 2 and over are required to present either proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (two weeks since the final dose) or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event date. Viejas Arena has contracted with Bindle to streamline the process for meeting these requirements.

Through this link you will find information and step-by-step directions for accessing the Bindle application. For additional details, visit the Viejas Arena health & safety page.

Entering Viejas Arena
Viejas Arena follows all current California Department of Public Health Guidelines, San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, and San Diego State University Guidelines for "Indoor Mega Events." As such, three ways to enter Viejas Arena have been established starting with the women's exhibition game on Nov. 1.

  1. San Diego State University staff, faculty and students can use HealtheConnect, through Student Health Services, to gain access to Viejas Arena for men's and women's basketball games. Attendees in this group will need to show a picture ID and display their HealtheConnect medallion to confirm their vaccination status or negative test within 72 hours prior to the event.

Patrons who are not members of the university staff, faculty or student body can gain access to Viejas Arena in one of two ways.

        2.  Utilize the Bindle app on your smartphone. Download the app, create an account and upload your COVID-19 Vaccination Smart Health QR code, your vaccination record, or recent test result. To gain entry to Viejas Arena on game day, show the app which will include your picture and, a green background showing you have met the vaccination or testing requirement

Or
         3.  Provide a hard copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or negative test result dated within 72 hours prior to the event, along with a photo identification card.

Mask Policy
In addition, all guests must adhere to the SDSU facial covering policy. Those over the age of 2 are required to wear a facial covering that covers both the nose and mouth at all times, unless actively eating or drinking, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.

Bag Policy
To expedite your entry into Viejas Arena it is recommended that you do not bring a bag. If you must bring a bag, we highly suggest a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bag, this to reduce staff contact with our guests' belongings. Bags can be no larger than 16" x 8 "x 16". No backpacks allowed.

Parking passes are available to purchase for 2021-22 season ticket holders. The season parking pass includes access to your designated lot for all 17 home games on campus during event hours.
