2012 - Football Edges Nevada, 39-38, in OT Thriller
Backup quarterback Adam Dingwell threw three touchdown passes and a two-point conversion in overtime on his 21st birthday to give San Diego State a thrilling, 39-38, overtime victory at Nevada. Subbing for starter Ryan Katz, who went down with an ankle injury in the first quarter, Dingwell completed 14 of 23 passes for 177 yards. After Nevada went up 38-31 in overtime on a 3-yard TD pass from Cody Fajardo to Brandon Wimberly, the Aztecs needed two plays to pull to within 38-37, scoring on a 21-yard pass from Dingwell to Gavin Escobar. Following a timeout, the Aztecs elected to go for the win and Dingwell sealed it with a pass to Adam Roberts in the corner of the end zone for the successful two-point conversion. SDSU rallied from a 10 or more point deficit in the fourth quarter to win for just the fourth time in 188 tries at the time. The Aztecs went on to tie Boise State and Fresno State for the Mountain West title, at the time the program's 19th in school history.

2000 - Castellanos' Hat Trick Lifts Women's Soccer to 4-0 Win over New Mexico

In what can only be described as the best back-to-back goal scoring performances in program history, Kim Castellanos (2000-03) recorded a hat trick in consecutive Aztec victories in the 2000 season. On October 20, 2000, Castellanos recorded her first career hat trick in a game against New Mexico. The freshman out of Rancho Bernardo High School, opened her game account with a goal in the 5th minute and then added two more; one in the 20th minute and the other in the 53rd minute en route to a 4-0 victory. It was the sixth hat trick in program history and fans did not have long to wait for the seventh.

1937 - Football Records First Game with Multiple 100-Yard Rushers in 20-0 over New Mexico State
Glenn Zinser and Max Glass each rushed for over 100 yards to lead the Aztecs to a 20-0 victory over New Mexico State. Zinser rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown, while Max Glass recorded 105 yards on 24 carries. It was the first time in program history that SDSU had multiple 100-yard rushers in the same game. San Diego State has now accomplished the feat 30 times in program history and are a remarkable 29-1 when it occurs, including wins in each of the last 19 occasions.

1995 - Lynn Murray Leads Nets Four Goals to Lead Women's Soccer to 5-0 Win at Cal Poly Pomona
In the most prolific individual goal scoring day in the history of the San Diego State women's soccer, Lynn Murray (1991-92, 1994-95) set the program's single-game goals and points records when she found the back of the net four times and assisted on the team's other goal in a 5-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona.

Murray, a senior in 1995, opened the scoring with the eventual game winner in the 39th minute, staking SDSU to a 1-0 lead.  In the second half, she added goals in the 50th, 80th and 82nd minutes and assisted on a Shannon Cutherbertson tally in the 60th minute.  Her four goals were and still are the single-game program record as are the nine points she amassed in the game.

Murray's effort, which included an assist in the team's second game that week, failed to garner her conference player of the week honors, an award she twice earned earlier in the season, but for the year she was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Umbro All-West Region Team. She wrapped up her Aztec career as the program's leader in goals (25) and points (63) and, as stated before, still owns the records for goals and points in a game.
