The San Diego State baseball team has had 16 alumni in Major and Minor League Baseball this summer, while 14 returners from the 2018 roster have also been in action with their respective summer leagues. Three former Aztecs in professional baseball were named to minor league All-Star teams, while the Aztecs were very well represented in the Alaska Baseball League All-Star game with four representatives.
San Diego State baseball posted a 39-21 record in 2018, winning its fifth Mountain West Championship in the last six years.

Stephen Strasburg - Washington Nationals (MLB)
In the middle of his ninth MLB season... Owns a 6-6 record with a 3.46 earned run average... Currently on the 10-day disabled list and last pitched on June 8... Currently rehabbing with the Potomac Nationals.
Greg Allen - Cleveland Indians (MLB)
Hitting .209 with a home run and five RBIs in 45 games played during his rookie season... Has played all three outfield spots this season... Hit a walk-off home run against the Houston Astros on May 27.
Addison Reed - Minnesota Twins (MLB)
Currently in his eighth MLB season... Owns a 4.83 earned run average in 41 relief appearances this season with 37 strikeouts and 13 walks.
Bubba Derby - Colorado Springs Sky Sox (AAA - Milwaukee Brewers)
Owns a 4-4 record with a 4.52 earned run average in 15 starts and five relief appearances... Has struck out 77 batters in 87.2 innings.
Seby Zavala - Charlotte Knights (AAA - Chicago White Sox)
Has split time between AA Birmingham and AAA Charlotte in 2018... Called up to AAA after hitting .271 with 11 home runs and 31 RBIs in 56 games... Hitting .227 with six RBIs in 17 games in AAA... Currently on seven-day disabled list... Named a Southern League All-Star.
Quintin Berry - Colorado Springs Sky Sox (AAA - Milwaukee Brewers)
Has played 27 games in AAA and one at AA this season... Has stolen five bases while only being caught once... Has three doubles and two home runs in 27 AAA games this season... Has also driven in eight runs and scored eight runs.
Ty France - San Antonio Missions (AA - San Diego Padres)
Currently third on the San Antonio Missions with 14 home runs... Team leader with 65 RBIs... Third on the team with 19 doubles... Hitting .260 with a .352 on base percentage in 91 games... Named a Texas League All-Star.
Alan Trejo - Lancaster Jethawks (A+ - Colorado Rockies)
Hitting .272 with seven home runs and 50 RBIs in 77 games this season... 50 RBIs are good for second most on Lancaster... Named a California League All-Star.
Chase Calabuig - Stockton Ports (A+ - Oakland Athletics)
Was called up to High-A Stockton after hitting .406 in his first 16 professional games with the AZL Athletics... Currently hitting .385 with seven doubles and six RBIs over his first 10 games with Stockton... Has struck out just eight times while walking nine times in 82 plate appearances... Has seen action in all three outfield spots this summer... .564 slugging percentage is good for the best on Stockton with a minimum of 10 plate appearances.
Jordan Verdon - Lakeland Tigers (A+ - Detroit Tigers)
Called up to High-A Lakeland after 14 games with the GCL Tigers... Hit .381 with a home run, five doubles, two triples and 16 RBIs with the GCL Tigers... Walked nine times while striking out just five times in 62 plate appearances in the GCL... 16 RBIs are second most among GCL Tigers players this season... Has seen action at first base and in the outfield this summer.
David Hensley - Quad City River Bandits (A - Houston Astros)
Hitting .210 with a home run and eight RBIs in 23 games this season... Has seen action at second base, third base and shortstop... Also has five doubles and a triple this season.
C.J. Saylor - Peoria Chiefs (A - St. Louis Cardinals)
Has made 22 pitching appearances this season, all in relief... Has a 4.97 earned run average over 29 innings pitched... Has struck out 43 batters for a 13.3 strikeouts per nine innings ratio... Has one save on the season and has finished seven games for Peoria this year.
Marcus Reyes - Vancouver Canadians (A- - Toronto Blue Jays)
Owns a 0.51 earned run average in 10 pitching appearances this season, all in relief... Has allowed just one walk in 17.2 innings pitched this year... Has recorded one save and finished four games this season... Owns a 15.00 strikeout-to-walk ratio and a 1.08 WHIP.

Owns a 3.32 earned run average over 21.2 innings, split between five starts and one relief appearance... Has 16 strikeouts on the summer.
