SAN JOSE, Calif. -

San Diego State Head Coach Steve Fisher

General comments:
"In the locker room, with the team, I talked about some of the things we didn't do, should have done and talked about the nuts and bolts of the game. I said the team the most important thing about this game is that we get to welcome back Dwayne Polee II. I shook his hand, they cheered like crazy and Dwayne smiled. It was neat to get him home. He is back home on the basketball court. That is where he has been. It is where he has always wanted to be. For him to get back in two months and many, many doctors and lots of things that happened. I think (athletic trainer) Tom Abdenour and all the doctors that assisted deserve a huge thank you for the way they did their job."

On Polee II entering the game:
"I think he (provided a lift to our team). It was neat to see the (San Diego State fans) stand up and give him a standing ovation when he got in. That was neat. He is a lovable young guy that has a great comfort level when he is on the floor. He loves to play and we are so happy to have him back."

On the game:
"You are always concerned. I have talked about how we came up here last year and played miserable. We shot 29 percent in the first half and had a three-point lead with five minutes to go (before half).

"I said we had to come out and compete like crazy. Wyoming came here early in the season and trailed a good portion of the game and very easily could have lost the game. Nevada came in here most recently and very easily could have lost the game. They will play hard, they will compete and they did. They shot the ball. We had a goal of five or fewer threes for the game and they had that in the first five minutes.
