TEAM NOTES
- San Diego State improves to 3-1 on the season. This matches San Diego State's best start in the last 29 seasons (since 1981) and is the best start in seven seasons (2003) ... San Diego State improves to 2-0 at home in 2010, and currently has won five consecutive non-conference home games dating back to the 2008 campaign.

- San Diego State has won three games in the month of September for the first time since 1993.

- San Diego State has won three non-conference games in a single season for the first time since the 2003 season. That season, the Aztecs played five non-conference games. This is the first time the Aztecs have won at least three non-conference games, while playing no more than four non?]conference contests, since 1995. That season, the Aztecs defeated California, Nevada and San Jose State, with a loss coming to 14th-ranked Oklahoma.

- SDSU improves to 10-1 all-time vs. Utah State, including a 7-1 mark at home, and has won eight straight in the series overall ... SDSU is 2-0 this season against members of the WAC.

- On Ronnie Hillman's first-quarter score, SDSU has now scored a touchdown in 42 straight games ... SDSU's 21 first-quarter points are its most in any quarter of a game since also tallying 21 on Sept. 22, 2007, in a win at home against Portland State.

- SDSU added two more rushing touchdowns to its season total, giving them 13 on the campaign ... SDSU has two or more rushing TDs in four straight games for the first time since Oct. 14 to Nov. 4, 1995.

- SDSU has reached the 400-yard mark in total offense in five consecutive games for the first time since the opening five games of 1996.

- SDSU had seven offensive plays for 20 or more yards tonight, including four in the first quarter ... On the year, the Aztecs have 27 offensive plays for 20 or more yards and 11 for more than 40 yards.

- SDSU scored over 40 points in a game for the third time this season. The last time SDSU scored 40 or more points in three games in a single season was 1996, when it accomplished the feat on six occasions.

PLAYER NOTES
- Vincent Brown, Senior WR: Went over the 2,000-yard mark in career receiving yards on his second-quarter touchdown, becoming just the 12th Aztec to reach the milestone and the first since Jeff Webb in 2005 ... Recorded his first two touchdowns of the season, giving him 15 in his career and moving into 10th in SDSU history ... Reached the 100-yard mark in receiving yardage in a game for the first time in 2010 and the eighth time in his career ... The eight, 100-yard receiving games tie him for 10th-most in SDSU career history ... The 82-yard reception for a TD in the second half is the longest catch of his career (previous 78 yards at UCLA in 2009) and ties as the 13th-longest pass play in school history (longest since 2007).

- Ryan Lindley, Junior QB: Recorded his third 300-yard passing game of the season and fourth in his last five outings ... Has nine career 300-yard passing games, which is fourth-most in SDSU history ... Season-high for passing yards in a game tonight ... Moved into fifth in the SDSU career record book with 45 career passing TDs, including six this season ... Tallied three or more passing TDs in a single outing for the sixth time in his Aztec career.

- Ronnie Hillman, Freshman RB: Recorded his first career start tonight ... Has scored a touchdown in all four games this season.

- Bryce Quigley, Freshman TE: Scored his first career touchdown on his first career reception in his second career game ... Second true freshman to score a touchdown for the Aztecs this season (also Ronnie Hillman) and third freshman overall (RS frosh Gavin Escobar).

- Brian Stahovich, Junior P: Has eight kicks for more than 50 yards this season and has 33 career, 50+ yard kicks in his career.

- Abel Perez, Junior PK: Has a field goal in every game this season and is a perfect 4-for-4 on attempts of 30 yards or less ... Two field goals in three of four outings this season.

- Jerome Long, Junior DL: Despite not starting for the first time in 2010, recorded a career high and team single game high for tackles for loss with 3.0 on the night, including a sack ... Has at least a half tackle for loss in every game this season and has a stop in 16 consecutive games.

OTHER NOTES
- Aztec running back Ronnie Hillman becomes the second freshman to to log a start this season, joining redshirt frosh tight end Gavin Escobar ... SDSU has had four players start their first career game in 2010 - Hillman, Escobar, running back Davon Brown and defensive back Darryn Lewis.

- SDSU has scored a touchdown on its first drive of a game for the second consecutive outing ... The team's 4:58 time of possession is its longest on a scoring drive this season (previous 4:38 vs. Nicholls).

- SDSU wideout Doug Deakin recorded his first career rush on a fake punt in the third quarter, recording a first down on a 13-yard run.

- SDSU redshirt freshman Nat Berhe recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter and the Aztecs' third pick in the last two contests.
