4-For-4:Aztecs 4-0 for First Time in 22 Years
The Aztecs improve to 4-0 for the first time since the 1984-85 team opened with four consecutive wins. It is just the fourth time in the Division I era that SDSU has accomplished the feat with 1971-72 and 1982-83 being the other times. ... It is also just the fourth time that a Steve Fisher-led team has started 4-0. The previous three times his squads have gone deep into the postseason. The 1991-92 team was the national runner-up, the 1993-94 squad were regional finalists and his 1996-97 group won the postseason NIT.
Starting Lineup
The Aztecs started sophomore Lorrenzo Wade and senior Mohamed Abukar at the forward positions, sophomore Chris Lamb at center, and sophomore Richie Williams and senior Brandon Heath at the guard spots for the second time this season. The same five started in SDSU's season opener, an 87-84 victory versus Murray State at the Shamrock Invitational in Moraga, Calif., on Nov. 10.
