Mountain West Player of the Week - Feb. 26, 2015

Singles record: 22-9 (18-6 dual)... Notched 18 victories in the dual-match season, all in the second spot... Went 8-2 in her final 10 matches... Earned the MW Player of the Week nod, first of her career, after upsetting No. 113 Briar Preston of 37th-ranked Arizona... The upset clinched the 5-2 victory for the Aztecs.

As a Sophomore
Singles record: 21-11 (15-7 dual)... Went 14-7 at No. 3 and 1-0 at No. 4... Went 8-0 in her final eight singles matches... Compiled a 4-1 Mountain West record... Doubles record: 8-11 with 4 doubles partners. Picked up a win in singles play and teamed up with Hailey Johnson for a win in the first fall outing of her sophomore year... Notched two wins at the SDSU Fall Classic II.

As a Freshman
Singles record: 27-8 (20-6 dual)... 1-0 at No. 3, 5-2 at No. 4, 14-4 at No. 5, Went 7-1 in Mountain West play... Won 10 consecutive matches... Went 9-0 for the last 10 of the season... Doubles record: Paired with three other teammates and won 5.

Fall 2012
With an impressive collegiate debut, Nguyen swept the gold bracket at the SDSU Fall Classic I to claim one of four titles for San Diego State at the season-opening tournament.

Later in the fall, Nguyen fell just short of her second singles title as battled eventual winner, Julija Lukac of Washington, in the final of the black draw at the SDSU Fall Classic II.

Prior to SDSU
Was ranked No. 220 in junior ITF world rankings ... Won three ITF singles titles and two ITF doubles titles ... Was ranked the No. 3 singles and a member of the No. 1 doubles duo in the Philippines in 2012 ... Represented the Philippines in Fed Cup play in 2011 and 2012 .. Reached the semifinals in singles action and won the doubles title in the Philippines National Tournament in 2012.
