AS A SOPHOMORE (FALL 2007)
Singles - Picked up one victory in the fall season ... Received a first-round bye at the SDSU Fall Classic I before suffering a tough loss to Rice[apos]s Tiffany Lee, 6-1, 2-6, 10-3, in the Flight 2 quarterfinals ... Rebounded the next day to record a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Marigrace Marshall of Pepperdine in a compass draw.
Doubles - Posted a 5-4 record with two different partners ... Paired with Olivia Colman at the SDSU Fall Classic I and advanced to the consolation semifinals with an 8-3 victory over Lindstrand/Teeling of USD ... Teamed with Milana Yusupov at the ITA West Regionals ... Defeated UC Santa Barbara[apos]s Kausen/Ojeda, 8-6, before falling in the round of 32 ... Rejoined forces with Colman at the second SDSU Fall Classic, where they went 2-1 in the second flight of doubles ... Recorded a 9-8(5) triumph over Bartlett/Borowicz of UC Irvine before dispatching USD[apos]s Teeling/Wiesener, 8-6 ... The pair was unable to complete their title run, falling to Oklahoma[apos]s Eckel/Baxley, 8-3, in the championship match.
AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07)
Singles - Went 8-12 in her first year on Montezuma Mesa ... Defeated San Diego[apos]s Alexandra Demidova, 6-3, 6-2, in the Flight 2 consolation draw of the SDSU Fall Classic I for her first collegiate victory ... Picked up a win over Julia Sandborn of Hawai[apos]i, 6-3, 6-1, in the opening round of the Wilson/ITA West Regional Championships ... Failed to advance in the main draw, but returned in consolation action to defeat another Hawai[apos]i opponent, Jacqui Williams, 6-3, 6-4, on the last day of the tournament ... Played most of the dual-match season at the No. 6 spot, while seeing limited action at the No. 5 position ... Opened the spring season with a 6-4, 6-4 decision over Cal State Fullerton[apos]s Brandy Andrews ... On the same day, clinched the match for the Aztecs by disposing of UC Riverside[apos]s Roxanna Plata, 6-4, 6-4 ... Picked up two more wins in March, defeating Lauren Summers of Washington (6-2, 6-3) and Erlyn Rudico of Air Force (4-6, 6-4, 10-3) ... Fell to New Mexico[apos]s Jennifer Ryba, 6-2, 6-3, at the MWC tournament.
Doubles - Finished the season with a 5-10 record, playing with three different partners ... Teamed with Holly Bagshaw to upend the UC Santa Barbara tandem of Noelle Hirniese and Asogi Onaga, 8-4, during the opening round of the Wilson/ITA West Regional Championships ... The pairing was ousted in the round of 32, however, after dropping an 8-4 decision to Bengson/Williams of Long Beach State ... Combined with Alesya Vidov at the second SDSU Fall Classic to take down Feline Charlot and Erin Young of Saint Mary[apos]s, 8-4, during consolation play ... Also teamed with Esther Cadua during the tournament, posting a 1-2 mark ... Rejoined forces with Vidov in the spring, playing together in five dual matches ... The pair defeated Espiritu/Plata of UC Riverside, 8-2, and Williams/Hodes of Hawai[apos]i, 8-6.
PRIOR TO SDSU
Earned a top-three ranking in her native Turkey, winning the under-18 doubles title in 2005... Also reached the finals in singles and doubles in 2004... Was a member of the Turkish national team for five years... Saw action in five matches on the ITF junior circuit in 2004 and 2005... Defeated fellow Turk Ozcan Ezgi during the round of 64 at the 2005 Enka Junior tournament in her hometown of Istanbul... Has also represented Turkey in the European Team Championships in Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic.
