Bio entering 2026 season
In two seasons at San Diego State, Bray has assisted in the program's transition between conferences, helping lead the Aztecs through the inaugural Big 12 season after spending one year as a part of the Pac-12.
Under Bray's leadership as an assistant coach, the Aztecs opened up the 2025 campaign 4-0, which was their best record through four games since 2014. Going on to face four teams that were ranked or receiving votes in one of the toughest schedules in program history, San Diego State finished with a 5-11 record.
Bray came to the Mesa prior to the 2023-24 season, bringing with him 30 years of lacrosse coaching experience, including 23 in women’s lacrosse. In the spring of 2000, Bray was named the head coach of field hockey and women’s lacrosse at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He helped lead them to three straight NCAA tournament appearances between 2001-2003, with the 2002 squad finishing 20-1 and ranked 4th in the country. In the summer of 2003 Bray moved west to help build the program at the University of Oregon, rising to associate head coach in 2007, a post he held through the 2016 season. In the fall of 2018, he joined the staff at Vanderbilt, helping them to double digit wins in 2019, an NCAA berth in 2021 and an AAC tournament championship game berth in 2022.
Bray has been married to his wife Angie for 20 years and has two daughters, Lila and Hallie.
