Randy Galza
Randy Galza was named as a full time assistant coach for the SDSU women’s water polo program on October 25, 2022.

Going into his 7th year of collegiate coaching in 2024, Randy is entering his second year with SDSU as an assistant. Prior to that, he was an assistant at UC Irvine with the Men’s Division 1 program for a year, spent a year at Division 3 Occidental College, and 3 years at Saddleback College.

Galza first started coaching in 1999 with the Carlsbad girls water polo program.

At the high school levels, Randy was the head girls coach at Mt Carmel HS and Milken Community HS. He was also head coach for the boys at Chaparral, Mission Hills, and Milken Community HS.

Over 50 former student-athletes have competed or are currently competing in the NCAA at every level.

Galza has been the goalkeeper director at SOCAL Water Polo Foundation in Orange County for the past 9 years winning gold medals in the Platinum Division of Junior Olympics in all age groups. The 18 girls black team in 2021, 2018, 2016, the 14 girls black team in 2019, the 18 boys black team in 2022, the 16 boys black team in 2019, and the 14 boys black team in 2017.

A native San Diegan, he swam and played water polo at Palomar College and earned his degree from UC Riverside.
