Rachel Owen joined the SDSU coaching staff in January of 2019 as a volunteer assistant coach.
Owen has been working with Athletes in Action since 2016, a Christian sports organization that works with collegiate and professional athletes. She haa spent time working on the UCLA and California campuses and came to SDSU in August of 2018.
A standout freestyle swimmer at UCLA (2013-16), she was a two-time all-Pac-12 honoree.
Owen was named to the UCLA Athletic Director’s Honor Roll every quarter and graduated with a degree in psychology in 2016.
