2019-20: Ended her collegiate career with three top-12 finishes at the 2020 MW Championships, including a third-place finish in the 3-meter springboard event with a score of 358.10, the third-best score in program history … Her Platform finals mark of 244.00 earned her an 11th-place finish at the conference championships and marked the sixth-best performance in SDSU laurels … Finished her senior regular season with a fantastic performance at the NAU Diving Invitational #2, earning the top finish in the 1-meter springboard event with a score of 302.45, the sixth-best effort in Aztec history … She also finished fourth in the 3-meter and on the platform at the event … Recorded two top-two finishes in the Aztecs’ final dual meet of the season, placing second in the 1 and 3-meter springboard events in SDSU’s clash with the University of San DIego … Saw a third, third, and second-place finish on the 1-meter, 3-meter and Platform, respectively at the NAU Diving Invite #1 …   Collected a third-place finish in the 1-meter event at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational (Oct. 11-12) …  Opened the season with a second-place finish in the 1-meter in the Aztecs’ dual meet with Pepperdine. 

2018-19: Participated in the MW Championships and finished 10th and 11th with scores of 271.05 and 285.95 in the 1-meter and 3-meter, respectively … Tabbed a sixth-place finish against Air Force and Cal Poly with a score of 259.80 in the 3-meter (Dec. 19) … Registered a fourth-place finish in the 1-meter with a score of 261.15 against UC San Diego and UC Davis (Oct. 19) … Also placed fifth in the 3-meter with a score of 248.35 at the same meet … Earned two third-place finishes at the Chick-Fil-A Invite (Oct. 5-6) in the 1-meter and 3-meter with scores of 241.30 and 255.50, respectively.

2017-18: Earned all-Mountain West status in 1-meter diving, finishing sixth with a score of 273.39… Recorded the sixth best 1-meter score in program history against USD on Jan. 19 at 295.05… Recorded the 10th best 3-meter score at 297.45 in the same meet against USD… Recorded a third-place finish in double dual meet against Pepperdine and UC San Diego on 1-meter board.

2016-17: Placed second in the consolation final on the 1-meter board at the 2017 Mountain West Championships with a season-best score of 286.10 ... That score was the fifth-highest in program history on the 1-meter board ... Had a personal-best mark of 286.35 on the 3-meter board, finishing third in the consolation final ... Also had her top score on the platform (208.70), placing 23rd ... Best finish during the season was eighth place on the 1-meter board at the Air Force Invitational ... Advanced to the finals on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at the USC Diving Invitational (Nov. 11-13) and Lumberjack Diving Invitational (at Northern Arizona Dec. 18-19) ... At USC, placed 10th and 14th in the 1-and 3-meter events and was 12th and 11th respectively in those two competitions at the Lumberjack Invitational.

Team won District I championship during her junior and senior season and capture state title in her final year.

Competed for three clubs as a junior diver: Imaginary Dive Club (six years), Nor-Gwyn Pool (nine years) and NorthPenn Aquatic Club (nine years) .... Was a national qualifier and capture AAU 1-meter national championship.

Marie V. Yacopino was born Jan. 9, 1998, in Pittsburgh, Pa. ... Daughter of Edward and Michele Yacopino ... Father played minor league baseball for seven years in the Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Milwaukee organizations ... Enjoys the beach, music, dogs and spending time with family and friends ... Was also recruited by Auburn, North Carolina State and Clemson ... A social work major at SDSU with career plans in that field.
