2024-25 SEASON (As A Junior): Competed in 10 meets for the Scarlet and Black… Posted an 18th-place individual finish in the season-opening pentathlon vs. USD, where she logged a season-best 1:25.73 in the 100 breast (9-13-24)… Placed fourth in the 150 fly (1:31.12), helping SDSU to another dual-meet triumph over the same Torero squad two weeks later (9-27-24)… Recorded the third-fastest time in the 50 fly (26.31) in a victory at Pepperdine (10-3-24)… Took ninth in the 100 fly (56.69) on the first day of the Fresno State Invitational before placing 11th in the 200 fly (2:09.39) the following afternoon, as the Aztecs finished second in the team standings (10-4/5-25)… Raced in six events over the course of two days in a pair of dual-meet victories at Alaska Fairbanks (10-11/12-24)… Swam the fly segment of SDSU’s triumphant 400 medley ‘B’ relay at the Hawkeye Invitational, where the quartet logged a winning time of 3:36.20, which ranks 10th in program history (11-21-24)… Also emerged victorious in the ‘B’ final of the 200 fly with a season-fast clocking of 2:01.18 after capturing the ‘C’ final in the 100 fly (54.63), helping the Aztecs to a second-place team finish (11-22/23-24)… Additionally set season-best times in the preliminaries of the 50 free (25.34) and 100 back (57.52) at the same meet in Iowa (11-21/22-24)… Contributed to SDSU’s double-dual sweep over New Mexico and Pepperdine with a second-place finish in the 200 fly (2:06.16) along with a runner-up performance as a member of the Aztecs’ 200 medley ‘B’ relay (1:46.10) (1-2-25) Also led off SDSU’s 400 free ‘B’ relay against the Waves and Lobos, posting a season-best split of 53.34… Took second in the 100 fly and swam the fly segment of the Aztecs’ runner-up 200 medley relay (1:44.11), helping San Diego State to a double dual-meet sweep of Colorado College and Cal State East Bay (1-7-25)… Logged four top-four finishes at the USD Invitational, including second-place efforts in the 200 fly (2:05.09) and on the team’s 200 medley ‘B’ relay (1:44.87)… Also took third in the 100 fly (57.21) at the same meet and swam anchor on the Aztecs’ fourth-place 400 freestyle ‘B’ relay (3:34.04), as the Scarlet and Black took home the team title (1-11-25)… Helped the Aztecs put the finishing touches on a 10-0 dual-meet schedule with a victory in the 200 fly against San Diego (2:07.40)… Also swam fly on SDSU’s runner-up 400 medley ‘B’ relay (3:49.20) against the Toreros and anchored the second-place 200 freestyle ‘B’ relay (1:36.07) (1-26-25)… Contributed to the Aztecs’ fourth consecutive Mountain West championship with a third-place finish in the ‘B’ final of the 200 fly (2:01.93) following a fifth-place showing in the ‘B’ final of the 100 fly (54.49), the latter of which marked a career best (2-21/22-25)… Was named to the Mountain West all-academic team and received conference scholar-athlete laurels for the third consecutive season.
2023-24 SEASON (As A Sophomore): Saw action in 12 meets during her second year on The Mesa… Came away with a fourth-place finish in the 200 fly in the Aztecs’ dual-meet victory at Cal Poly, where she touched the wall at 2:13.47 (9-29-23)… Competed in four relays in SDSU’s tri-meet sweep of Cal Poly and Fresno Pacific the following day, racing the fly segment of the Aztecs’ 400 medley ‘B’ relay that posted the second-fastest time in the event with a clocking of 4:00.35 (9-30-23)… Also swam the third leg of SDSU’s 400 medley ‘B’ relay that placed sixth at the Fresno State Invitational with a time of 3:47.52, as the Scarlet and Black completed the meet with a second-place team finish (10-7-23)… Completed a season-fast swim of 55.12 in the 100 fly at Texas A&M’s Art Adamson Invitational (11-16-23)… Helped the Aztecs to a dual-meet victory over Air Force after a fourth-place finish in the 50 fly (26.19) and a seventh-place result in the 50 back (28.50) (12-19-23)… Contributed to SDSU’s double-dual sweep of Cal State East Bay and Concordia Irvine with a third-place time of 2:07.84 in the 200 fly (1-5-24)… Also set a career best with an effort of 2:15.13 in the 200 back vs. the Pioneers and Eagles… Swam in four races in the Aztecs’ quad meet sweep of Alaska Fairbanks, Fresno State and Loyola Marymount (1-8-24)… Logged season-fast sprints in the 50 free (25.76) and 100 free (56.25) the following day vs. Alaska Fairbanks in a pentathlon meet, where she placed 10th in the individual standings (1-9-24)… Competed in three events, including a pair of relays in SDSU’s double-dual victory over Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount (1-19-24)… Logged a second-place finish in the 200 fly against San Diego, completing the race in 2:07.40 to help the Scarlet and Black cap another unblemished dual-meet schedule at 15-0 (1-26-24)… Set career-best times in the preliminaries of the 100 back (57.28) and 200 fly (2:00.14) at the Mountain West Championships to end the season (2-23/24-24)… Landed on the MW all-academic team for the second year in a row and merited conference scholar-athlete distinction.
2022-23 SEASON (As A Freshman): Competed in 11 meets during her rookie campaign … Helped the Aztecs complete an unblemished 6-0 mark against LMU, Seattle and host Grand Canyon at the GCU Quad Meet, finishing fourth and fifth in the 100 (57.73) and 200 fly (2:08.66), respectively (10-21/22-22) … Also registered a season-fast 2:00.85 in the 200 freestyle at the same venue, which counted as an exhibition result … Enjoyed a series of impressive performances at the SMU Invitational, featuring a personal-best time of 2:04.00 in the 200 fly, helping the Scarlet and Black secure the team title (11-19-22) … Also logged a career-fast clocking of 58.80 in the 100 back at the same meet and set a season-best with a split of 53.10 leading off SDSU’s third 400 freestyle relay team … Additionally recorded season-fast swims in the preliminaries of the 50 free (24.20) and 100 fly (55.72) at SMU … Emerged victorious in the 200 fly (2:04.29) in a dual-meet win over San Diego (12-19-22) … Placed fourth in the 200 fly (2:14.43) during inclement weather in a double-dual meet victory over Cal State East Bay and Incarnate Word (1-5-23) … Turned in a second-place effort in 200 fly (2:09.24) against Pepperdine the following week (1-13-23) … Placed third in the 200 fly (2:09.52) at San Diego in the regular-season finale, the Aztecs notched their 50th consecutive dual-meet victory (1-27-23) … Saw action in the preliminaries four events the Mountain West Championships, including the 50 free, 100 back, 100 fly and 200 fly (2-16/18-23) … Finished the year by racing in 10 events against USD in a long course meet at Aztec Aquaplex (4-20-23) … Earned Mountain West all-academic honors following the spring semester and received conference scholar-athlete recognition.
PRIOR TO COLLEGE: Swam for the Almaden Riptide club team before enrolling at San Diego State … Finished second in the 100 fly (56.24) and took fourth in the 200 fly (2:06.24) at the 2022 Far Western Championship in Morgan Hill, California, according to Swimcloud.com … Also placed eighth in the 100 fly (1:03.84) at the Speedo Sectionals in Roseville, California, later that year … Chose the Aztecs over the likes of USD, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, Air Force, Pacific and UNC Wilmington during the recruiting process.
PERSONAL: Parents are Matt and Staci Tenczar … Lists Dana Vollmer as her favorite athlete … Enjoys reading and crafting in her spare time … Majoring in political science with plans to attend law school.
