Appeared in all 18 games of the season, including five starts … Had an assist in consecutive games, against Creighton (9/5), and UNLV (9/9)... Played 836 minutes on the season, including one 90 minute performance against Oregon State (10/2).

Attended El Camino Real Charter HS where he scored 16 goals and dished out 22 assists… Named to the All-West Valley Team Twice, earning first team honors as a senior… Helped his school reach the finals of the CIF City championship as a senior… His school won the CIF City title his freshman season… Also played for Real So Cal… Earned the silver cord (GPA between 3.0 and 3.5) all four years… Earned the Presidential Award and the Biliteracy Award

Djibril Doumbia Named WAC Goalkeeper of the Week
Doumbia helped the Aztecs record shutouts in both of SDSU’s matches last week. In conference play he leads the WAC in goals allowed average (0.29), shutout percentage (71%) and save percentage (90%).

Beto Apolinar Namec WAC Defensive Player of the Week
Apolinar, the team captain, had an assist on Robbie Matei’s game-winning goal in SDSU’s 1-0 win at Utah Tech Sunday. As a defensive midfielder, he played a huge part in the Aztecs’ earning a pair of 1-0 shutouts last week and limiting UNLV and Utah Tech to a combined three shots on goal.

Ferran Florencio Catalá scored the game winner in the 57th minute, his first career goal. After a slow start, the Aztecs outshot the Hornets 17-5 over the game’s final 75 minutes.
