Tied for 68th at The Prestige (Feb. 21-23) at 16-over 229 ... Came in a tie for 38th at the Lamkin San Diego Classic from March 7-8 at 1-under 215 ... Fall: Started all four tournaments in the fall, joining Youssef Guezzale as the only Aztecs to start all four events … Recorded the third-lowest scoring average (72.17) on the team … Also tied for the most rounds below par (4) … Opened with a tie for 46th out of 90 golfers at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate from Sept. 10-12 at 1-under 209 … Best round was the second when he fired a 4-under 66 … Followed with a T15 at the Husky Invitational from Sept. 20-21 at 3-under 213, including a 4-under 68 in the opening round … Tied for 60th at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 4-5) at 13-over 223 … Tied for eighth out of 36 golfers at the Jackson T. Tied for 23rd at the Lamkin San Diego Classic at 5-over 221 ... Led the team with a tie for ninth at Arizona’s National Invitational Tournament at 10-under 206 ... Was under par in all three rounds at the NIT, posting a 2-under 70, and back-to-back 4-under 68s ... Followed with a tie for 17th at the Wyoming Classic on April 5-6 at 4-under 212 as SDSU won another team title ... Played in seven tournaments and 20 rounds over the 2019-20 season, each tied for the most on the team ... Had a 72.60 scoring average, which ranked sixth on the team ... Tied for the most even-par rounds (3), tied for fourth in rounds below par (7) and tied for fifth in the rounds in the 60s (2) ... Was one of three Aztecs to win an individual event.
Spring: Played in three tournaments, including one on the starting 5 and two as individuals ... Recorded a spring scoring average of 72.00, which ranked fourth on the team ... His five rounds below par in the spring and two even-par rounds were tied for the most on the team ... Won the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational as an individual at 8-under 208, buoyed by a 6-under 66 in the final round ... Both the 208 and 66 were collegiate career lows ... As part of the team was 70th at The Prestige at 12-over 225, rallying from a 11-over 82 with a 71 and 72, respectively, in the final two rounds ... Played in eight tournaments, including six appearances as a team member and two individual during his sophomore season … Only person on the team to place top five in a tournament with a fifth-place finish at the Pioneer Creek Collegiate, scoring 3-under 213 … Had a scoring average 73.00 in 24 rounds ... Fall: Led the team with a fifth-place finish at the Pioneer Creek Collegiate at 3-under 213 while competing as an individual ... 2017-18 Season (As A Freshman)
Cracked the starting lineup in seven of nine tournaments played ... Ranked fourth on the team with a 73.38 scoring average ... Logged 10 rounds below par, including two in the 60s ... Earned a spot on the Mountain West all-academic team.
Spring: Averaged 73.82 strokes in six events ... Posted his highest finish of the year as an individual competitor at the Arizona Medalist, where he tied for fourth at even-par 216 (Jan 29-30) ... Matched his season best with a 69 in the final round of the aforementioned tournament ... Made the Aztec starting five over the next four events, beginning with The Prestige at PGA West, where he tied for 57th at 10-over 152 (Feb. 15-17) ... Landed in the 30th position at the Southwestern Invitational after carding a 10-over 226 (Feb. 26-27) ... Competed on the Scarlet and Black’s home course for the Lamkin San Diego Classic at San Diego Country Club, carding a 5-over 221 to tie for 44th (March 12-13) ... Contributed to the Aztec cause at the inaugural K-State Bighorn Invitational, where he shot a 6-over 222 to tie for the 46th spot (March 23-24) ... Returned to the lineup for the NCAA Norman Regional, emerging as SDSU’s No. 2 golfer at 2-over 218 ... Overcame an opening-round 75 with 71 and 72 to tie for 29th (May 14-16).
Fall: Appeared in three tournaments, recording a 72.56 scoring average ... Made his collegiate debut at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate as an unattached golfer, logging a 15-over 231 to tie for 79th (Sept. 22-23) ... Received his first starting assignment for the Aztecs at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in Hawaii, helping SDSU to a second-place team standing ... Tied for 41st on the leaderboard with a 3-under 213 (Oct. 29-31) ... Was the team’s No. 2 finisher at the Saint Mary’s Invitational in Pebble Beach, where he tied for 14th at 4-under 209 ... Shot a season-low 69 in the final round (Nov. 6-8).
Prior to SDSU
Earned first-team all-Palomar League honors as a junior at Rancho Bernardo High in the spring of 2016 after receiving second-team recognition in 2015 ... Was a prep teammate of fellow Aztec recruit Zihao Jin, helping the Broncos to back-to-back conference championships and a runner-up finish in the CIF San Diego Section tournament ... Recorded an impressive win at the Southern California Amateur Championship in October 2016, highlighted by an opening-round 66 ... Also posted a pair of victories on the Toyota Tour Cup Series in 2015, winning the Fallbrook qualifier at Whittier Narrows before taking home the top prize at the Bridgestone Tournament of Champions at the Vineyard in Escondido ... Registered two additional top-five performances at TTC events in 2016, landing in the runner-up position at Oak Valley following a third-place tie at Morongo ... Participated in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championships that same year after tying for second at the Woodland Hills qualifier ... Also drew interest from USC, Oregon State and USD during the recruiting process.
