Made three starts and 10 appearances out of the bullpen this season ... First start came against Oklahoma on Feb. 21 when he allowed four runs over four innings in a loss ... It was his longest outing of the season .... Other starts came vs. UC Riverside in Stony Brook (a loss and no-decision) ... Had season-high three strikeouts in the starts against Oklahoma and UC Riverside ... Picked up his win in the game against UNLV on May 21 ... Went 2.1 innings in that contest allowing a run on three hits ... His two walks in that game were the first two he allowed in his final seven appearances of the year (10 innings).

SAN DIEGO STATE 2009
Appeared in 12 games in relief along with a pair of starts ... Picked up win in a starting role against Pacific on Feb. 28, going five innings ... Longest relief appearance of the season came at Utah on May 23 when he tossed 5.2 innings against Utah in the final of the MWC Tournament allowing a run on five hits ... On March 7 vs. 11th-ranked San Diego, came on in the eighth inning with SDSU clinging to a 6-5 lead after USD had put runners on first and third with no outs ... Struck out the next batter before foiling a suicide squeeze play when he field a bunt and flipped it to catcher Erik Castro for the out at home ... That helped SDSU get out of the inning in a game it would go on to win 6-5 ... Made his first appearance in the field as an Aztec when he played center field for the final inning in the game against UC Davis at PETCO Park on April 3 ... Recorded his first collegiate hit when he singled as a pinch hitter against Southern Utah on March 24 ... Season and career-high three strikeouts in 2.1 innings at UNLV on Aril 11 ... Picked off four runners during the season including two vs. Utah on May 15.

True freshman left-hander who filled the role of short reliever ... Longest outing was of the year was 4.2 innings at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, May 17, in which he allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits. ... Shut down the Titans over his final 2.2 innings in that game ... Went 3.2 innings against TCU on April 26, when he gave up a pair of runs on two hits ... Also tossed 2.1 shutout innings at Arizona on April 30 ... Eight of his other nine outings were one inning or less ... Season-high two strikeouts vs. Cal Poly (1.1 innings on Feb. 28) and at Long Beach State (0.2 innings on March 18) ... Did not throw a wild pitch in any of his 13 appearances.
