SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women’s soccer team (3-1) is leaving San Diego County for the first time this season for a match against the Oklahoma State Cowgirls (2-2-1) in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Thursday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT (5 p.m. PT). The match will be broadcast on ESPN+ to paid subscribers
Last Thursday, SDSU hosted the Pacific Tigers. The Aztecs rolled to a 7-0 win, matching the largest margin of victory against a Division I opponent in program history. Katie Senn, who entered the match with two career goals, recorded a brace. Victoria Miller also tallied her second goal of the season and Naima Castro, Rory Schank and Maya Stinson each scored for the first time with San Diego State. Schank’s goal was the first of her career. Alexis Leath also scored for SDSU. Leath and Alexyz Nakamoto each tallied two assists in the victory. In goal, Kailey Carlen and Sammy Martinez combined for a shutout, the Aztecs’ third in four matches this season. San Diego State is one of just 21 squads in the nation to allow no more than one goal so far this year.
The Scarlet and Black have only ever faced the Cowgirls once before, falling 3-0 at home on September 31, 2024.
Following Thursday’s match, San Diego State will head to Lubbock, Texas, to take on Texas Tech on September 6, scheduled for the same time of 5 p.m. PT. SDSU will wrap up its road non-conference slate at Utah Valley on September 12 at 6 p.m. PT. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+ to paid subscribers.
