Started all 20 matches, spending all 1,820 minutes in goal for the Aztecs, which ranked 34th in the nation among keepers… Named Mountain West Freshman of the Week on Sept. 22 after a two-shutout week against Nevada and Hawai’i… Saved 70 of 94 shots on goal, good for a .745 save percentage… Finished with a 9-4-7 record… Tallied seven shutouts including one in the Mountain West Quarterfinals to help the team to the Semifinals… Only conceded multiple goals in eight of 20 matches… Was successful in the classroom and on the field to garner Academic All-Mountain West accolades.
High School/Club
Carlen has played for Albion SC the last three years and won consecutive titles with the team... For the prior two seasons, competed for Rebels SC, making the playoffs... Her soccer trophy case includes three Golden Glove awards, a pair of MVPs and a Best on the Pitch award.

Kailey J. Carlen was born June 4, 2007, in Georgia... Daughter of Angela Carlen... Is majoring in psychology with plans of playing professional soccer after college.
