Swim and Dive Earns Nine CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors
SAN DIEGO – A total of nine student-athletes from the San Diego State swim and dive program were named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans for the 2025-26 campaign, as announced Thursday by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
Moa Bergdahl earned first-team CSCAA Scholar All-America honors, while Kaydence Bispo, Roni Black, Isabella Gomez, Sophia Hineline, Keira Kuderka, Alli Mann, Reka Nyiradi and Alina Skrocki received second-team distinction.
With the Pac-12 era officially underway, SDSU’s nine individual CSCAA Scholar All-America certificates bested its newest conference rivals, as Fresno State and Washington State netted eight awards apiece, followed by Colorado State with four.
Eligible candidates for CSCAA Scholar All-America awards must maintain a 3.50 grade point average or higher, with first-team honorees competing at their national championship meet, while second-team selections must have recorded a qualifying standard for their national championship or qualified for zone diving competition.
In addition, the Aztecs were recognized as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for the 2026 spring semester on July 1.
To be eligible for team consideration, swim and dive squads must have maintained an aggregate 3.0 grade point average for the spring 2025 semester. The CSCAA honored 714 squads (both men and women) from 418 different institutions, representing 16,680 individuals.
The Aztecs' 27 student-athletes matched a program record with a combined 3.69 GPA this past spring, meriting CSCAA Scholar All-America Team distinction for the 21st consecutive semester.
In all, the San Diego State swim and dive team has garnered CSCAA Scholar All-America Team accolades in 27 of the last 28 semesters since the start of the 2012-13 academic year.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
San Diego State is coming off another banner season in 2025-26, winning its fifth straight conference championship and 10th overall since 2011 in its final year as members of the Mountain West.
Individually, the Aztecs qualified at least one student-athlete to the NCAA Championships for the 17th consecutive season after recent graduates Moa Bergdahl (100, 200 breast) and Abby Storm (100, 200 back) competed at the national meet last March, while Roland McDonald garnered Mountain West Diving Coach of the Year accolades for the third straight season and fifth in his tenure on The Mesa.
