SAN DIEGO – San Diego State swim and dive student-athletes Moa Bergdahl, Kaydence Bispo, Isabella Gomez and Alina Skrocki were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for their excellence in the classroom and in the pool, as announced Tuesday by College Sports Communicators, formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

To be eligible for nomination to the 2026 CSC Academic All-District Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Team, candidates must have at least a sophomore standing and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher combined with consistent contributions in the pool, participating in at least five of the institution's competitions OR placing in the top eight at a conference meet.

Additionally, each school is limited to four nominations to the 2026 CSC Academic All-District Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Team.

All four Aztec competitors played prominent roles in helping San Diego State capture its fifth straight Mountain West championship during the 2025-26 campaign and a conference-record 10th title overall since the 2010-11 season.

A native of Halmstad, Sweden, Bergdahl competed at the NCAA Championships for the first time in her career last month, swimming in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Earlier, the Aztec senior earned five all-MW honors at the conference meet in February, capturing silver medals as a member of the Aztecs’ 200 medley and 400 medley relay teams.

Last fall, Bergdahl posted a career-fast time of 59.53 in the 100 breast at the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invitational, which ranks third in school history.

A sustainability major at SDSU, Bergdahl has maintained a 3.73 cumulative GPA. She is a three-time Mountain West all-academic selection and has received conference scholar-athlete distinction on three occasions.

In addition, Bispo garnered five all-Mountain West accolades of her own this season, highlighted by a trio of silver medals in the 50 freestyle and as a member on the Aztecs’ 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay teams.

As the second competitor on SDSU’s 400 free relay at the conference meet, Bispo helped her teammates record the second-fastest time in school history at 3:16.26. The Modesto, California, native also swam leadoff on the Aztecs’ 400 free relay at the MW Championships, where the quartet logged the program’s fourth-best time overall at 1:28.74.

Bispo also registered three individual SDSU career top-10 performances at the league meet in the 100 free (T-5th, 49.06), 50 free (7th, 22.43) and 200 free (8th, 1:47.30).

A Mountain West all-academic selection and conference scholar-athlete in 2025, Bispo is majoring in kinesiology at San Diego State with a cumulative 3.80 GPA.

A transfer from New Mexico, Gomez made a huge impact in her first season with the Aztecs, garnering all-conference accolades in three diving events at the MW Championships, where she won a gold medal from the platform height to go with a pair of bronze finishes on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards.

Gomez’s winning score of 306.30 in the platform finals ranks second in program history, while her two other marks at the league meet are slotted seventh on the school’s all-time charts (1M, 311.45; 3M, 327.95).

Gomez also joined forces with Skrocki and Belen Cano to capture a gold medal in team diving competition at the MW Championships, the first year the event was scored at the meet.

Not to be outdone, Gomez qualified for all three events at the NCAA Zone E Championships.

A native of Medellin, Colombia, Gomez is majoring in journalism at San Diego State with an emphasis in media studies, maintaining a 4.00 GPA.

Another competitor on SDSU’s elite diving corps, Skrocki participated in the NCAA Zone E Championships for the third straight season after earning all-MW honors in three individual events at the conference meet while contributing to a gold medal in team diving.

Last November in her hometown of Flagstaff, Arizona, Skrocki set a personal best in platform event at the NAU Lumberjack Invitational with a score of 291.05, which ranks fifth in school history.

Skrocki, who merited MW scholar-athlete plaudits and conference all-academic honors in each of the past two seasons, has accumulated a 3.95 GPA at San Diego State as an art major with an emphasis in interior architecture.

Not to be outdone, Skrocki received second-team Scholar All-American recognition last summer from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes swim and dive honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
