SAN DIEGO – San Diego State women’s tennis is back on the road this week, first making a trip to Laramie, Wyo. for a 3 p.m. PT Friday matchup against Wyoming before heading south to Fort Collins, Colo. to take on Colorado State at 11 a.m. on Sunday. In the case of inclement weather, Sunday’s match will be moved indoors to Fort Collins Country Club with a 1 p.m. start time.

Entering the weekend with a 9-6 overall record and 2-1 in the Mountain West, the Aztecs are coming off a 4-2 win over Boise State on Sunday. Despite dropping the doubles point, the Scarlet and Black rallied in singles competition with Jo-Yee Chan, Gloria Alogo, Ninon Martinache and Liisa Varul each earning victories on their respective courts. Chan took down Maya Dutta 6-0, 6-4 on court two. Alogo cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 win over Bhakti Shah on the third court. Varul captured a 6-1, 6-2 win against Ella Piron in the sixth spot and Martinache clinched the match with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 victory over Paula Schaefer on court four.
Wyoming is 4-12 on the season and 1-3 in conference play, most recently defeating Fresno State 4-3 in the team’s first Mountain West win of the 2025 campaign.
Colorado State is 3-12 overall and 1-3 in the Mountain West, coming off a shutout loss at San Jose State. The Rams earned their first conference victory over New Mexico, taking down the Lobos 4-3 on March 16.
Following Sunday’s match, the Aztecs will prep for their final road trip of the season. Heading to Fresno and San Jose, the Scarlet and Black will face the Bulldogs at 2 p.m. on April 4 and the Spartans at noon on April 6.
