Lague shot a 3-under 69 with four birdies and a bogey on the par-3, 202-yard 13th in his first round, before sinking six birdies with one bogey on the par-4, 427-yard ninth in the second round for a 67.

In the second round, he shot a 70 with four birdies and two bogeys.

A sophomore, Sampson had two eagles in his first round (No. 2 and No. 14) and three birdies, but also five bogeys en route to a 72. He then shot a 69 with five birdies and two bogeys.
