COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the second week in a row, Kylie Phi was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
Phi shot a six-over-par 222 at the Aztecs’ home tournament, the San Diego State Classic, tying for the best score among Aztec golfers and 21st overall.
She improved her score each round, going from a 76 to a 74 before finishing with an even par 72 in her final round, which was the third best round of her collegiate career.
Phi scored for the Aztecs in every round and improved her season count percentage to 84%.
