SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State men's tennis team will take the courts for the first time in nearly three weeks when it hosts the Idaho Vandals at the Aztec Tennis Center on Friday, February 16, at 10 a.m. PT. The Aztecs will look to remain unbeaten on The Mesa.

San Diego State (2-1) began the season with home wins over Brigham Young and Sacramento State before falling in its first road match 4-1 at UC Irvine on January 27. SDSU has been unable to compete since then due to several storm systems hitting the West Coast.

The Scarlet and Black have taken the doubles point in all three matches. The Aztecs' doubles effort has been led by No. 49-ranked Robin Parts/Alexander Mandma and Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice/Bora Sengul, with the pair a combined 5-0 on the first and third courts, respectively.

In singles, the bottom of the lineup has impressed so far this season as Parts and Mandma have combined for a 4-1 record on courts five and six to lead San Diego State.

Idaho (0-2) has also had a number of canceled matches so far this season. The Vandals opened their spring slate with a 7-0 shutout loss at Washington on January 14 and fared only slightly better in a 6-1 defeat at Gonzaga on January 28. The Aztecs are undefeated against Idaho since 1989 but the teams haven't met since a 7-0 result in 2008.

San Diego State remains at home following Friday's match. The Aztecs host a doubleheader next Wednesday, February 21, when they take on UC Riverside at 2 p.m. and Point Loma Nazarene at 5 p.m. at the Aztec Tennis Center.
