Anika Sato Earns Top 10 Finish at Ron Moore Intercollegiate

The Aztecs finished in 11th place with a 13-over-par 877. They were led by Anika Sato who tied for eighth place with a four-under-par 212.

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The San Diego State women’s golf finished the University of Denver’s Ron Moore Intercollegiate Sunday. The Aztecs finished in 11th place with a 13-over-par 877. They were led by Anika Sato who tied for eighth place with a four-under-par 212.

Sato’s 212 is the lowest 54-hole score in her four-year career. After shooting a 68 and 69, she finished with a three-over-par 75 in her final round.

Stephanie Barbaglia, who led the Aztecs in their first two tournaments, finished with a two-over-par 218. She sandwiched rounds of 74 around a second round 70.

Ema Narita finished third among Aztecs with an over-eight-par 224 after carding a 77 Sunday.

Kylie Phi was just one stroke behind Narita with a 225 and tied her final round score of 77.

Emma Delwes rounded out the Sunday scoring with a four-over-par 76.

UNLV won the team championship with a 17-under-par 847. Minnesota’s Isabella McCauley won the individual title by four strokes, finishing 14-under-par with a 202.
