Jasmine Hotchkins-Parker Hired as Director of Operations

Before joining SDSU, Hotchkins-Parker was the Director of Operations and an assistant coach at Pepperdine University. She also spent time at the University of Portland.

SAN DIEGO – San Diego State women’s basketball head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson has announced the hiring of Jasmine Hotchkins-Parker as the program’s Director of Operations.

Before joining SDSU, Hotchkins-Parker was the Director of Operations and an assistant coach at Pepperdine University, where she played a vital role in supporting effective game strategies and player development. She was instrumental in streamlining logistical operations, managing apparel and equipment, and coordinating team travel. Additionally, she was the guards' positional coach, responsible for workouts, film breakdown, and scouting.

Prior to that, Hotchkins-Parker was the director of operations at the University of Portland where she Jasmine managed scheduling, equipment orders, and travel arrangements for the women’s basketball program. She also coordinated community service activities and managed the camp LLC’s financial and administrative tasks.

Hotchkins-Parker also served as the Director of Girls' Basketball and Player Development Coach at Showcase Basketball in Burbank, Calif. where she focused on the growth of young athletes through basketball fundamentals and strategic training methodologies. Prior to that, she held a teaching role as an AP Psychology instructor at Chaminade College Preparatory.

As a former collegiate point guard and team captain, Hotchkins-Parker brings valuable on-court experience to her role. She played at East Tennessee State University and Eastern New Mexico University, where she earned honorable mention in the Lone Star Conference and helped lead her team to a conference championship during the 2016-2017 season.

Jasmine holds a master’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, where she graduated magna cum laude. While there, she served as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball team during the 2019-2020 season. During her time at TAMUCC, she focused on studying and conducting research with student-athletes, exploring key areas such as protein intake in women’s basketball players to highlight the importance of nutrition in sports. She also researched athletic identity, emphasizing the need to prepare student-athletes for life after sports. Her bachelor’s degree is in psychology from Eastern New Mexico University, with a minor in Nutrition.
