Aztecs Set to Host Sacramento State

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State men's tennis team will continue its spring season this weekend with a home matches at the Aztec Tennis Center against Sacramento State. Originally scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon, the Aztecs will now face the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday night.
 
San Diego State (1-0) opened its spring season with a 4-3 win at home over Brigham Young last Thursday, January 11. Robin Parts was the star for the Aztecs in that match, earning a doubles win over No. 35-ranked Fuchs/Thayne and a singles win in his SDSU debut.
 
Sacramento State (0-0) will begin its spring season with a match at UC San Diego at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sacramento State posted a 12-7 record a season ago. The Aztecs and Hornets have never faced off, but San Diego State is 18-4 against Big Sky competition since 1989.

Following Friday's match, San Diego State will hit the road the next two Saturdays to play at UC Irvine at noon on January 27 and at Cal Poly at noon on February 3.
