FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The San Diego State women’s golf team finished their first two rounds of Colorado State’s Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic Monday. Through 36 holes, the Aztecs sit in ninth place after shooting a five-over-par 581.
Individually, SDSU was led by Ema Narita who shot an even par 72 in both rounds. In both of her rounds, she had a stretch where she birdied three straight holes.
Stephanie Barbaglia and Anika Sato each finished one shot behind Narita with a one-over-par 145. Barbaglia shot a one-over-par 73 in her first round and then an even par 72 in her second.
Anika Sato rebounded from an opening round 77 to card a four-under-par 68, her career-low score. She had an eight-hole stretch with five birdies on the back nine.
Freshman Kylie Phi has a three-over-par 147 through 36 holes. She shot a 73 (+1) in the first round and then a 74 (+2) in her second.
Nikki Kato rounded out the scoring for the Aztecs with a 151 (+7). She shot a 77 in her first round then improved to a two-over-par 74 in her second round.
Freshman Emma Delwes, who made her collegiate debut, was competing as an individual and shot a 163.
