FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The San Diego State women’s golf team finished Colorado State’s Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic Tuesday, finishing in ninth place with a 19-over-par 883. The Aztecs were led by Stephanie Barbaglia, who posted her fourth consecutive tournament finishing at par or better.
Barbaglia shot a one-under-par 71 Tuesday to finish the tournament with an even par 216. She finished tied for 21st.
After shooting an even par in her first two rounds, Ema Narita carded a three-over-par 75 Tuesday. She finished with a 219 (+3) and in 27th place.
Anika Sato finished third among Aztecs with a 225 (+9). She shot an 80 in the final round.
Kylie Phi finished just one stroke behind Sato with a 226 after shooting a 79 Tuesday.
Nikki Kato shot a career-low 228 (+12) after shooting a 77 Tuesday, tied for the third best score among Aztecs. She had a four-hole stretch with three birdies.
Emma Delwes, who was playing as an individual and playing in her first collegiate tournament, had the best round of her young career, shooting a 77.
UC Davis won the tournament, finishing 21-under-par. Their Abigail Leighton tied for the individual championship with Washington State’s Alice Johansson. Both finished 11-under-par.
