SAN DIEGO – San Diego State Men’s Tennis is set to kick off the fall season this weekend at the Wildcat Invite in Tucson, Ariz. Returning senior Liam Spiers will be representing the Scarlet and Black alongside newcomers Marc Kleber, Paul Janson and Denis Maijorov.

Competition will begin for the Aztecs on Friday at 10 a.m. PT with Maijorov facing off against Arizona’s Santiago Padilla Cote. Maijorov will be making his collegiate debut as a freshman, coming to SDSU from Estonia.

“This will be a great kick-off event, especially for Marc, Paul and Denis,” says Head Coach Gene Carswell. “This will be their first taste of what college tennis is about, as far as the competitiveness and the intensity of it. It will be a good indicator of where these guys are and what they need to work on going forward.”

The tournament will continue through Saturday and Sunday. To keep up with the latest updates, follow us on X (@AztecMTennis) and Instagram (@sdsumtennis).
