SAN DIEGOSan Diego State track and field had six former student-athletes named to the Mountain West 25th season outdoor team, the conference office announced on Tuesday. The six Aztecs were Whitney Ashley, Bonnie Draxler, Tonette Dyer, Ashley Henderson, Allison Reaser, and Shanieka Thomas.

Draxler, Henderson, Reaser and Thomas were also selections on the Mountain West Indoor 25th Season Team.

One of three SDSU Hall of Famers on the 25-year team, Ashley competed for San Diego State from 2011-12. In her two seasons on The Mesa, she was a three-time outdoor All-American including claiming the 2012 NCAA discus title and four-time NCAA Championship qualifier. She won four outdoor Mountain West event championships as well as the 2011 High Point Award. A class of 2017 San Diego State Hall of Fame selection, she still owns the school record for both the discus and hammer while ranking second all-time in shot put.

Arguably the best pole vaulter in Mountain West history, Draxler donned the Scarlet and Black from 2015-19. In that time, she qualified for two NCAA Outdoor Championships including a finish as the 2019 national runner-up, as well as four NCAA West Regionals. A two-time Mountain West pole vault champion, she totaled five all-Mountain West honors in her career. Her clearance of 4.51m (14-9.5) at the 2019 NCAA Championships ranks first in conference history by six inches as well as 22nd all-time in NCAA history.

Dyer is the second Aztec Hall of Famer on the list, competing for SDSU from 2002-05. A three-time outdoor All-American, she qualified for the NCAA Championships four times and the NCAA West Regionals eight times. She was also a six-time Mountain West champion and 2004 Outstanding Performance Award winner. To this day, she still holds the conference and school records in the 200m and 400m dashes. She also ranks number two in SDSU history in the 100m and ran a leg on four of the five fastest SDSU 4x400m relay races and the ninth fastest 4x100m relay.

Henderson is one of the greatest sprinters in MW history, competing as an Aztec from 2015-18 and became one of the most decorated sprinters in San Diego State history. Her eight outdoor all-America selections and nine outdoor Mountain West championships are the most by an Aztec. In her four years, she qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100m and 200m for three straight years from 2016-18 as well as running on the 4x100m relay in 2017-18. She is the school record holder in the 100m, ranks number two in the 200m, and ran a leg on the three fastest 4x100m relay teams in program history.

A multis athlete from 2011-14, Reaser was a tremendous all-around talent for the Aztecs in the program's history. A three-time All-American, she qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the heptathlon all four years as well as seven regional qualifying marks between the 200m, 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles and long jump in her four seasons. She won four MW outdoor titles, including three straight heptathlon titles from 2011-13 as part of the eight outdoor all-conference performances in her career. Reaser still owns the conference and school record of 5,836 points in the heptathlon and ranks among SDSU's top ten in the 400m hurdles, long jump, and javelin throw.

Thomas (Ricketts) is the third SDSU Hall of Famer on the 25th season team, joining as part of the 2019 induction class. Arguably the best outdoor jumper in conference history, she won back-to-back NCAA triple jump championships in 2013 and 2014 and the national runner-up in 2012. She qualified for the NCAA West Regionals every year of her career including both long jump and triple jump as a junior and senior. A four-time Mountain West champion, she won three consecutive triple jump titles from 2012-14 as well as the long jump title in 2013. Her triple jump mark of 14.15m (46-5.25) is the best in MW history over nine inches and over a foot and a half better than the second-best mark in school history.

The six selections are the most among the schools with athletes on the 25th season team. The second-most was New Mexico with four.
