SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women's tennis team is set to hit the road again this weekend. The Aztecs are scheduled to play at Air Force at 10 a.m. MT/9 a.m. PT on Friday, April 5, and at New Mexico at 11 a.m. MT/10 a.m. PT on Sunday, April 7.

No. 65-ranked San Diego State (9-5, 3-1 Mountain West) is the Mountain West's lone ranked team. The Aztecs improved to 5-1 at home in last week's 4-0 shutout win over Wyoming. San Diego State's second match of the week, against San Jose State, was rained out. The Aztecs are led by No. 96-ranked Yasmine Kabbaj (9-2) and No. 84 Andjela Skrobonja (11-2). Kabbaj has had a strong start to the conference season and holds a 2-0 record in Mountain West play. Skrobonja has earned a victory in 11 of her last 12 matches. In doubles, Skrobonja and Andreea Velcea, the two returners from last year's Aztec squad, won their eighth consecutive match in last week's victory.

Air Force (1-13, 0-6) is looking to end an 11-match losing streak. The Aztecs hold a 17-2 edge in the all-time series against the Falcons, but one of those two losses came last season in a 4-3 result on March 26.

First-place New Mexico (16-1, 5-0) has won six consecutive matches including all five conference matches since the Lobos' lone loss this season at Montana State on March 8. SDSU earned a 4-1 win in last season's matchup to improve to 24-12 in the all-time series.

Following this weekend's action, San Diego State returns to America's Finest City for its final two home matches of the season. The Aztecs will host Colorado State at 2 p.m. PT on Friday, April 12, and Fresno State at noon on Sunday, April 14. The team will honor its seniors prior to the match against the Bulldogs.
