LAS VEGAS – The second-seeded and No. 62-ranked San Diego State women's tennis continued play in the Mountain West Championships on Friday with the Semifinals. The Aztecs were scheduled to play at 11 a.m. against sixth-seeded Colorado State at Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas. Due to inclement weather, the match was pushed back to a 5:30 start. The Aztecs dropped the doubles point but earned singles wins from Yasmine Kabbaj, Gloria Alogo and Andreea Velcea to take a 3-2 lead. Before the match concluded, rain and lightning returned to Southern Nevada, causing the match to be suspended. The teams will pick up play at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The Aztecs' Zoe Olmos leads 5-3 and is one game from sending SDSU to the Championship match. San Diego State would play fourth-seeded UNLV in that Championship match, scheduled to start around 11:30 a.m.
