SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Aztec lacrosse team fell to Liberty 20-9 Monday afternoon. Kate Christos led the Aztecs with four points from two goals and two assists.

The Flames (3-4) outshot the Aztecs (1-7) 50-20 and 44-15 in shots on goal. SDSU was 1-4 in extra-man opportunities, while Liberty was 3-6.

Kate Christos and Jenna McDermott each had two goals on two shots with one free position goal. Five other players scored once. Goalkeeper Caitlin Boughton had 19 saves and 14 goals allowed on 37 shots faced.

The Flames had eight different athletes score, led by Olivia Glaze and Katie Colavito with four goals each. Jordan Sheive led the team with three assists. Colavito also led the Flames with seven draw controls. Goalkeeper Rachel Hines had four saves and three goals allowed on 11 shots faced.

"Not a good day for the Aztecs. We'll be back and better on Friday," says Head Coach Kylee White.

The Aztecs had a 0.500 free-position percentage compared to the Flames' 0.300.

THE NOTE
Caitlin Boughton has a career high 19 saves, tying Avery Dyer for the second most in SDSU history.
