SEATTLE – This weekend, the San Diego State women's tennis team travels to Seattle for a pair of matches. The Aztecs will battle the Portland Pilots at 1 p.m. on Saturday and the host Washington Huskies at noon on Sunday at Nordstrom Tennis Center. It marks the first time this season that SDSU will play indoors.

No. 75-ranked San Diego State (5-2) has dropped both its matches against top 15-ranked teams but is 5-0 against all other opponents. SDSU is 27-7 in singles over its last six matches and 5-3 in doubles over its last three matches. The Aztecs are led by reigning Mountain West Player of the Week and No. 53-ranked Yasmine Kabbaj (6-0), who plays on court one and No. 106 Andjela Skrobonja (6-1), who plays on the second court. The pair have been a dominant force at the top of the SDSU lineup this season as they are each riding a six-match winning streak and hold a combined 3-1 record against ranked opposition.

Portland (5-3) has had a very back-and-forth season so far with no more than two consecutive wins or losses. In the teams' lone previous meeting, the Aztecs won 5-2 on February 6, 2010.

No. 34 Washington (7-3) is undefeated outside of the ITA Indoor Championships. The Huskies began the season by winning all six matches before the indoor championships and followed up the event with a 7-0 win over Seattle. Washington is led by No. 78 Alexia Jacobs and No. 118 Melissa Sakar in singles while Jacobs and her partner, Astrid Olsen, are ranked No. 34 in doubles. SDSU is just 6-16 against the Huskies all-time with Washington winning 7-0 when the teams last competed in 2017.
