Aztecs Finish Fall Slate

LOS ANGELES – The San Diego State men's tennis team finished its fall season in the Kramer Collegiate Classic on Sunday. Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice played singles while Alexander Mandma and Robin Parts played doubles against players from Cal on the USC campus.
 
Mandma and Parts faced Cal's Jonathan Irwanto and John Kim. They won 8-4.
 
In singles, Gonzalez Fitzmaurice went up against Cal's Alex Aney. He took the first set 6-3 but dropped the second by the same score. The deciding tiebreaker was close but Gonzalez Fitzmaurice ran out of steam in a 10-8 defeat.
 
San Diego State's fall schedule has concluded. The spring season kicks off with a home match against Brigham Young on January 11 at the Aztec Tennis Center at 10 a.m.
