SAN DIEGO – This weekend, the San Diego State women's tennis team will wrap up its fall season when it hosts the SDSU Fall Classic II at the Aztec Tennis Center. Six Aztecs will play singles and doubles in the tournament, which runs from Friday, Nov. 3 through Sunday, Nov. 5. San Diego State will be competing against student-athletes from Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, Nevada, Oregon and UC San Diego.
After suffering an injury in her first match of the season, Gloria Alogo returned to win three of her five matches in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships.
One of three returners on this year's roster, Rania Azziz began her season by winning in straight sets in her first match fall.
A transfer from Cal State Fullerton, Zoe Olmos began her ITA Southwest Regional Championships with two wins.
Myah Petchey will be facing her former school (Oregon) this weekend. She earned victories in her final two matches of the ITA Southwest Regional Championships.
The highest seeded Aztec in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships, Andjela Skrobonja won her first two matches of both tournaments that she has played in so far this fall.
Entering the weekend on a three-match winning streak, Andreea Velcea leads the Aztecs with five singles wins so far this fall.

San Diego State is done with its fall season following this weekend's action. The Aztecs begin the spring with a home match against UC San Diego at the Aztec Tennis Center at noon on January 20, 2024.
