SAN DIEGO – The Aztec track and field team returns to action this Friday and Saturday at two separate meets. The Aztecs will be competing on Friday and Saturday at the Trojan Invitational in Los Angeles, California from April 7-8, and at the Triton Invitational in San Diego, California April 7-8.

Erica Grotegeer, Zoe Brosch, and Felicia Crenshaw will represent the Aztecs in the shot put and discus, while Ashley Callahan and Corey Freidenbach compete in the pole vault.  

The action begins for the Aztecs at the Triton Invitational with field events on Friday and Saturday. Pole Vault competition will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. PT.

As for the Trojan Invitational, the Aztecs will send 14 athletes to compete in various events.

Competition begins Saturday with the long jump where Jenna Fee Feyerabend, Maya Gorman, Ruthie Grant-Williams, Simone Johnson, and Dejanae Thompson will compete starting at 10 a.m. PT.

The long jump will be followed by the javelin, high jump, and triple jump.

Track events will begin at 12:05pm with the 400 meter relay where the team of Sydney Bentley, Shaquena Foote, Rhea Hoyte, and Aisha Watt will race.

Following the 400 meter relay, the hurdles and sprints will begin with Aztecs competing in the 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, 100m, 200m, and 400m.
