Aztec Lacrosse Travels to Colorado

SAN DIEGO – The Aztec lacrosse team (5-8) will travel to Boulder, Colorado to take on Colorado (5-5) on Friday, April 7th at Noon PT. The game will be streamed on Pac 12+ ($).

Aztec Tidbits:
• The Aztecs last contest was a 13-6 loss to Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia, PA.
• Saint Joseph's outshot SDSU 32-21 and 20-16 in shots on goal. They also had a 12-11 advantage over the Aztecs in draw controls.
• Cailin Young led the team with two ground balls.
• Goalkeeper Sam Horan had seven saves on the day.
• Horan currently leads the nation in saves and saves per game.

Season Preview Tidbits:
• Cailin Young and Shelby Hook along with Sam Horan will be the team captains this season. 
• SDSU has 8 newcomers (six freshmen and two transfers).
• Head coach Kylee White (12th season), the only head coach in program history, received a five-year contract extension in the fall of 2022.

Opponent Notebook (Colorado)
The Buffaloes are off to a 5-5 start in their 2023 season with victories over Ohio State, No. 21 Stanford, California, Arizona State and Oregon… This is the eighth meeting between the Hawks and the Aztecs. . .The Buffaloes currently lead 8-0 all-time over the Aztecs in the eight previous matchups dating back to 2014…
