AZUSA, Calif -- The Aztec track and field team began competition today at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California with four heptathlon events.
The meet began with 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put and the 200m dash. Jenna Fee Feyerabend and Ruthie Grant-Williams represented the Aztecs in the first day of the meet.
Ruthie Grant-Williams competed in Group D, ending day one with an overall standing of 10th place. Grant-Williams first competed in the 100m hurdles, earning a 15th place finish with a time of 15.99.
Jenna Fee Feyerabend competed in Group A this afternoon, wrapping up the first day of competition with an overall standing of 13th place. Fee Feyerabend earned a new personal best in the 100m hurdles after finishing ninth with time of 14.01.
In the high jump, Fee Feyerabend placed first in a six way tie after a jump of 5'05.75.
The heptathlon will resume on Friday with long jump and the javelin throw.
The Aztecs are back in action tomorrow afternoon and evening at both the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, California and the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. Both meets will have results available online at GoAztecs.com on the schedule page.
