SAN DIEGO – The Aztec track and field team returns to action this Friday and Saturday at two separate meets. The Aztecs will be competing at the Mt. Sac Relays at the Hilmer Lodge Stadium and at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific at the Cougar Athletic Stadium.
The action begins Thursday with Jenna Fee Feyerabend and Ruthie Grant-Williams competing in the heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
The Mt. Sac Relays will kick off with the 100m and 400m hurdles. Danae Dyer and Charlize James will represent the Aztecs in the 100m while Rhea Hoyte competes in the 400m.
Following the hurdles, the Aztecs will compete in the 400m, 800m, 200m, and 1500m run.
Simone Johnson will compete in the long jump while Felicia Crenshaw and Erica Grotegeer gear up for the discus throw and Ashley Callahan and Corey Friedenbach prepare for the pole vault.
Over at the Bryan Clay Invitational, the distance runners will compete in the 800m (Lauren Harper, Alex Lomeli, and Tatum Zinkin) and 5000m (Vanessa Cabello, Amber Elias, and Jessica Kain).
Competition at both meets will continue on Saturday, starting with the 400m relay at the Mt. Sac Relays and the 1500m run at the Bryan Clay Invite.
