SAN DIEGO – The Aztec women's golf team will play in the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational Monday-Tuesday.
 
The tournament, which is co-hosted by San Francisco and San Jose State, features 13 teams, including eight power five programs and four ranked in Golfstat's top 25.
 
The Aztecs have played two spring tournaments, both in California, and have dealt with heavy rain and wind in both events. Their last tournament, the Causeway Invitational in Sacramento, was limited to 18 holes due to inclement weather. SDSU could face more rain this week as well with rain forecasted both days in Fairfax, Calif.

The 54-hole tournament will get underway Monday with 36 holes beginning with an 8:15 a.m. PT shotgun start. The final 18 will be played Tuesday, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
 
SDSU is coming off a fifth place finish at the shortened Causeway Invitational where the shot a 301 in their lone round.
 
The Aztecs will roll out a starting five of Bernice Olivarez Ilas, Andrea Gomez, Anika Sato, Sammy Lee and Anna Lina Otten.
 
Olivarez Ilas (Ayala Alabang, Philippines) leads the team with an 18-hole average of 73.8 strokes. She tied for 13th last week at the Causeway Invitational after shooting a 74.
 
Gomez (Huixquilucan, Mexico) also tied for 13th last week along with Olivarez Ilas with a 74. She led the Aztecs with a 235 at the San Diego State Classic in what was her first start since the 2020-21 season.
 
Sato (Utsunomiya, Japan) is averaging 75.6 strokes per 18, good for second on the team.
 
Lee (San Ramon, Calif.) has started all six tournaments for the Aztecs. In the final tournament of the fall, she had a career-best performance, shooting a 223 at the Hurricane Invitational.
   
Otten (Neuss, Germany), who had started 21 straight tournaments for the Aztecs, played as an individual last week. She is averaging 76.6 strokes per 18 holes, fourth among SDSU golfers.

The Meadow Club, located in Fairfax, Calif., was the first course in North American designed by famed course architect Dr. Alister MacKenzie. The par-72 course will be set at 6,157 yards. On Monday, SDSU will start on holes 16-18 and is paired with BYU and individuals.
