SAN DIEGO – Aztec women's golf head coach Lauren Dobashi has announced the signing of Emma Narita to a National Letter of Intent. Narita, a native of Tokyo, Japan, will join the Aztecs for the 2023-24 season.
"We are very excited to have Emma join us in the fall," Dobashi explained. "She will make an instant impact and will play a vital part in building a championship program. She brings determination and a passion for the game. We are so excited to welcome her to the Aztec family!"
Narita's career highlights include winning the 2020 JJGA Tournament, taking second at the 2021 Kanto High School Tournament and placing third at the 2022 Tokyo Junior Tournament.
She also had a seventh-place finish at the IMG World Junior Championship and took 17th at the 2021 Japan Women's Amateur Tournament.
Narita is the second member of the class of 2023 to sign with the Aztecs, joining Nikki Kato.
