SAN DIEGO – CJ Fodrey of the Aztec men's soccer team was one of 44 players invited to the adidas MLS College Showcase. Fodrey was one of just three freshmen to earn an invite.
Fodrey (San Diego/Coronado HS) was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year after leading the Aztecs with 18 points, the most by a SDSU first year player since at least 2000. Yesterday, he was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Far West Region Second Team.
The adidas MLS College Showcase will take place from Dec. 9-12 in Raleigh, N.C in conjunction with the 2022 NCAA Men's College Cup
The four-day closed-door scouting event will give technical staffs from every MLS club an opportunity to scout these top collegiate prospects in the nation, including players with remaining NCAA eligibility.
